Jon Ryan is a jeweler and craftsman based near Phoenix, Arizona, with over two decades of experience in metalwork. He earned his Graduate Jeweler Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, and a master’s degree in Jewelry and Metal Arts from the University of Iowa.
Working professionally since 2001, his work has received national and international recognition, appeared in books and magazines, and been acquired by museum and public collections in the United States and South Korea, including the Racine Art Museum, LongHouse Reserve, and the collection of the Cheongju International Craft Biennale.
His jewelry is created through a combination of CAD design, 3D printing, and casting, bringing together precision, craftsmanship, and a sculptural sensibility. His background also includes hand-carving wax for lost-wax casting, along with stone setting and fabrication when suited to the design.
